Hawke is the nom de plume of a substantially well-placed Design & Internet Professional who has been actively online since 1993. He was on the pioneering wave of Internet development through the mid-90's, established a Dot-com in 1998 (only to have it liquidated in 2000 as one of the first dot-coms to bite the dust), and worked on numerous projects across all facets of Design and multimedia interests. He's also used the screen-names Zephyr, Arkhangel, and Fusebox.

Currently located in Milwaukee, WI, he continues his work in the Internet -related fields, with expertise shown in website crafting (he despises the term "web designer", since these folks are usually poorly trained hacks working with tinker-toys), multimedia development, and computer & network outfitting. He is also an Environmental Designer (AKA Environmental Graphics), working alongside architects and interior designers to create interactive, usable spaces.

With expertise in multiple platforms (Mac, Windows, Linux) and the funny gadgets they spawn, Hawke is frequently tapped by companies and families to advise them on topics ranging from what server cluster should be purchased to how to set up the digital camera Mom got from the kids for Christmas. Hawke is on the speed-dial of many families, called when little Timmy has dropped the new iPod in the toilet (no joke). He has repaired, resurrected, recovered, or upgraded no less than fifteen iPods to date.

He's also an "odd sports" nut, involved in such endeavours as mountain bike racing, snowboarding, bungee jumping, rock climbing, kayaking, and urban adventuring (this will get huge... keep your eyes peeled). As such, he keeps several thousand music and video files in a large "floating" archive (a server unassociated with a specific computer), and maintains three iPods (nicknamed The tRinity) — a 60GB iPod (video capable), a 40GB iPod Photo (the "fat freak"), and a brand-spankin'-new iPod Shuffle (with clip).

He is one of the administrators & Chief Editors over at the SW1 Wiki, and has generated well over 400 articles of original content. He set up a good amount of the tables, templates, and categorical structure.
