The official Apple version of the Thunderbolt logo.

Thunderbolt is an all-new I/O technology built by Intel and first produced by Apple on the recently launched line of MacBook Pros. It is slated to become the official replacement for FireWire and the new standard above USB in the near future. It is officially marketed as Intel Thunderbolt. Thunderbolt reaches upload speeds of up to 10Gbps. It is also work with Mini DisplayPort monitors. Thunderbolt also can deliver Gigabit Ethernet with the adapter.
