The Screen control panel was developed by Apple Computer for use with all-in-one Macs with built-in color monitors that lacked external hardware for direct adjustment by the user. Examples of these included the Macintosh Color Classic, the Macintosh LC 500 series, and the rare Macintosh TV.

Functionality[]

First included with System 7.1, this control panel adjusts the brightness, contrast, and automatic dimming functions of these computers. It superseded the Brightness control panel for older monochrome models and is inoperable on any other Macintosh.[1]
