The Macintosh Quadra 610 was part of Apple Computer's Quadra series of Macintosh desktop systems. The Quadra 610 was introduced in October 1993 along with the Quadra 650, replacing the Macintosh Centris 610. The Quadra 610 was discontinued in favor of the Macintosh Quadra 630 in July 1994.

Specifications[]

The specs of the Quadra 610 are nearly identical to the Centris 610, differing by the inclusion of a full 25 MHz 68040 processor with a built-in floating-point unit (FPU), unlike the 20 MHz 68LC040 in the Centris.[1] The Quadra 610 supported the addition of a PC Compatibility Card or a PowerPC upgrade card to its processor direct slot.

  • 4 to 68 MB of 80ns RAM (4MB soldered to board, and two 72-pin SIMM slots)
  • 160 or 230 MB SCSI hard drive
