The Macintosh Performa 6110, introduced on November 1, 1994, was Apple Computer's first Performa to use the new PowerPC RISC processor created by IBM and Motorola. It superseded the Macintosh Quadra 610 and 660AV that were previously based on Motorola's 68040 processor.

The Performa 6110 came in the same low-profile "pizza box" case as the Centris 610 and Quadra 610, but with a 60 MHz PowerPC 601 processor.
Variants[]
The professional counterpart to this model is the Power Macintosh 6100. There were several Performa model number variations to differentiate the feature levels:
- 6110CD: released 1994-11-01 with 250 MB SCSI hard drive, 15" Apple color monitor
- 6112CD: released 1994-11-01 with 250 MB hard drive, 14.4k modem, 15" Apple color monitor, gaming software
- 6115CD: released 1994-11-01 with 350 MB hard drive, 14.4k modem, 15" Apple color monitor, home office software
- 6116CD: released 1995-07-17 with 700 MB hard drive, 14.4k modem, no monitor, business software
- 6117CD: released 1994-11-01 with 350 MB hard drive, 14.4k modem, 15" Apple color monitor, financial software from Money magazine
- 6118CD: released 1994-11-01 with 500 MB hard drive, 28.8k modem, 15" Apple color monitor
All were discontinued on July 1, 1995 except for the 6116CD, which was available until April 1, 1996. These models were superseded by the Macintosh Performa 6200.
