iTunes 4.8 is an update to iTunes from Apple Inc. and was released on May 9, 2005.

- iTunes 4.8 added new iTunes Music Store features, including music videos.
- Added support for transferring contacts and calendars from your computer to the iPod (requires Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger).
- New iTunes Music Stores for Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland are accessible.
- iTunes 4.8 included videos that are included on specific CD's bought in the iTunes Store.
- iTunes 4.8 included the feature of playing Quicktime movies.
- iTunes 4.8 added how you want iTunes to show a movie if playing. Some of the features are if you want to show the video in the main window, a separate window, or in full screen mode, controls for the resulting contextual menu, and converting soundtrack from a movie file to the encoding format.
- iTunes 4.8 also adds security.
