iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 PlusEdit
The iPhone 7 is a smartphone designed by Apple Inc. The device is part of the iPhone series and were announced on September 7th, 2016. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus jointly serve as successors to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus of 2015.
The iPhone 7 is an evolution over the predecessor, featuring improved hardware specifications, including 3D Touch, a force-sensitive touchscreen; upgraded rear-facing and front-facing cameras; a faster processor; a new chassis made of a stronger alloy of aluminum; second-generation Touch ID; improved LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity; and new Jet Black and Black finishes in addition to the Rose Gold, Silver, and Gold finishes found on the previous models, while maintaining an identical design. However, it was also the first iPhone to not feature a headphone jack, which was hugely controversial when first announced. The devices ship with iOS 10 pre-installed.
In March 2017, a (PRODUCT)RED limited edition model was released, which features a red finish and white front. It was only available in 128GB and 256GB capacities, and was discontinued six months later. Every Red IPhone 7 and 7 Plus sold helped raise money to fight AIDS.
