Xserve RAID is Apple Inc.'s mass storage rack mounted device. It can hold up to 14 hot-swappable IDE hard drives between two controllers and current models have a maximum capacity of 5.6TB using 400GB drives. It supports several versions of RAID including levels 0, 1, 3, 5, 0+1,10, 30, 50. It is rack mountable and is 3U high.
It has two Fibre Channel ports for data transfer and an Ethernet port for remote management. It also has redundant cooling units/power supplies and RAID controllers.
